Nature Park Museum in the Parco Alto Garda Bresciano
The visitor centre of the "Parco Alto Garda Bresciano" Nature Reserve seeks primarily to create a connection between the mountain and the lake, and to arouse the interest of visitors of all ages to the diverse natural landscape between land and water, worthy of protection.
The Nature Park Museum in Tignale can be reached via the riverside road Gardesana Occidentale, which has a beautiful panorama and passes through some particularly stunning places of Lake Garda. For example, you can admire the canyons of the valleys of Valle di Piovere and Val di Baes, or make a stopover in the pretty villages of Oldesio, Gardola and Prabione.
The museum itself has modern showrooms that explain how natural events and human intervention have changed the geomorphology of the lake over time. Showcasing the seacoast and presenting its unique climate, the vegetation and the smooth transition between the bank, hilly hinterland, forest and mountains.
A permanent exhibition with diverse exhibits details the themes mentioned and illustrates them using video, display boards, satellite imagery, collections of natural and machine objects, reconstructions of archaeological finds and typical rural buildings. An observation track was integrated that leads directly into and through nature.
