Climbing garden Calvario in the Sarca Valley

The climbing area Calvario is north of the town of Arco in the Sarca Valley. Pioneers Manolo, Bassi and Mariacher wrote history by writing on the climbing walls between Lake Garda and the Sarca Valley in free climbing.

In the middle of an olive grove is an east-facing wall about 25 meters. On this seemingly unimpressive rock, there are 20 different routes from scale 4 to 8. The wall is slightly inclined to overhanging, with cracks and equipped with small holds.

We recommend a visit to the cosy town of Arco and the Pizzeria California after climbing. It's an insider tip among climbers, with a great terrace and large tables for groups.

The climbing wall is here:

From Arco direction Laghel into the Sarca Valley. The climbing wall is within walking distance of Via Crucis, which leads up to Laghel. Always head straight, and the climbing wall on the top left is hard to miss.
