Parco Giardino Sigurtà

The Parco Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio covers an area of approximately 600,000 m², covered in no less than one million tulips, 40,000 Buxus trees and 18 ponds. In 2013, the garden, which has been open to visitors since 1978, was voted the most beautiful park in Italy - and with good reason!

In the late 1940s, Doctor Carlo Sigurtà acquired the lands north of Valeggio sul Mincio, which were then very dry and barren. With the purchase, however, Sigurtà had also acquired the rights to irrigation. In decades of work, he transformed the wasteland at Valeggio sul Mincio into a green area with mixed forest and meadow plants, picturesque ponds, romantic water lily basins and magnificent flowers.

The area is still family owned and is one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe. You can view the Parco Giardino Sigurtà on foot, by bike, by golf cart, shuttle bus or by a mini tourist train. In some places even entering the lush green is allowed so that you can take a picnic basket. The entrance fee is solely for the maintenance of the park.
