Giocabosco Adventure Park in Gavardo
The Giocabosco Park in the Lake Garda area is all about the fantasy world. It is populated by fairies and elves. The complex was created in 2005 by Michela Sartori, especially for children. In this enchanting oak forest, children experience the magic of nature with their family or friends.
A special family programme shows kids what they can do to protect nature. In a story, the local forest fairies talk about the gnomes and their work as "guardians of the forest" and how we can support them.
All children get a red elf cap and a blue vest and then begin their educational journey through the forest. With the help of smell, touch and hearing as well as watching, they learn to recognise plant scents, to feel the fruits of the forest, to perceive sounds of the forest and to identify the animals. There are tree houses for gnomes, and there are ponies, rabbits, chickens and pigeons belonging to the fairies. Most of the animals roam free and are harmless.
At lunchtime, you can eat in the restaurant or look for a cosy spot to enjoy a picnic in the park. After the break, there are creative games, a labyrinth, slide, tunnels and trains as well as a painting and make-up corner. The children can ride a pony and make a small contribution to its pixie permit. The conclusion of the family day is the awarding of the diploma "Guardian of the forest" to all red-studded participants.
Visitors are asked to register in advance and not tell the kids what to expect so that they will experience a day full of surprises. The park is in Gavardo, 10 kilometres from Salò near Lake Garda. If you are coming from further away, you can spend the night in an agriturismo 2.5 kilometres away.
