Hike to the Prada plateau

The name Prada has nothing to do with the posh Milanese fashion brand but derives from the purpose of what this area had been in ancient times. Back then and now, large areas are used as pastureland.

A visit to the high plateau is particularly suitable for hikers and nature lovers, who are especially delighted by the beautifully landscaped paths and the unique panoramas.

Trekking along a gorgeous path from Prada Alta, you reach the ridge of Monte Baldo and the Fiori del Baldo mountain hut which is open all year round. Up there, the view is breathtaking. If you haven't had enough of a climb, you can complete the great round trip that leads over mighty rocks to the 2,200-meter-high Punta Telegrafo.

The hike is only for experienced climbers, and you should plan around 5 hours for the entire trip. However, thanks to a comfortable cable car, less-trained mountain lovers can also climb Monte Baldo. The ride on the lift, which has retained the charm and style of yesteryear, is a very special treat with a direct view of Lake Garda!
