Hike from Pregasina to the Cima Mughera
Enjoy a leisurely hike between Limone and Riva with ease. It's ideal for the whole family, and an impressive view of Lake Garda awaits you.
Eleven kilometres south of Riva, high above Lake Garda at 532 meters, lies the picturesque village of Pregasina. The impressive panoramic hike that leads up to the 1,161-meter-high Cima Mughera begins here. The path leads along leisurely tracks but also consists of some easy climbs.
At the church in Pregasina, there is a small parking lot. Not far from the village there's a forest road that leads along the 422b marker to the south; past the Malga Larici to Punta Larici at 908 meters with an impressive view over the lake. Continue on the Bocca dei Larici to the Malga Palaer at 945 metres, where you can take a rest stop.
From here the path becomes steeper and leads to the Passo Rocchetta at 1,159 metres, which, weather permitting again allows you to enjoy the Lake Garda panorama. From here it alternates up and downhill towards Rifugio Baita Segala. At the signpost to Limone, it's only about 10 minutes on track number 101 to the viewpoint on the Cima di Mughera with fantastic panoramic views.
For the way back, we recommend the same way to Passo Rocchetta. From there, the trail leads left along the marking 622 down to the forest road, which eventually leads to the entrance of the path to Pregasina.
This easy walk takes about 4.5 hours in total and provides an ideal trip for the whole family.
