Most people know Monte Baldo as a hiking and mountain bike area. For hiking and biking, the mountain is ideal in the warm season. In winter, however, winter sports enthusiasts can conquer the mountain directly on the shores of Lake Garda.
From Malcesine, it's easy to take the funicular Funivia Malcesine-Monte Baldo to higher altitudes. Once at the top, a real winter sports paradise with breathtaking views of Lake Garda opens up to active holidaymakers. Around 11 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes and four ski lifts are available to skiers and snowboarders. If you don't feel completely safe on the white powder snow or want to refresh your technique, you can take advantage of the offered ski and snowboard lessons for groups or individuals.
Due to the predominantly good weather with a bright blue sky and many sunny hours, the Monte Baldo is perfect as a ski resort. Even beginners, who prefer to take a break after a few hours in the sun, feel looked after.
After a strenuous day in the fresh air, the cable car will bring you back to the shore of Lake Garda. The hungry winter sports fans are expected back at the excellent restaurants and pizzerias, which offer typical regional dishes and Mediterranean specialities.
