The Italian name Terrazza del Brivido (German: "Schauderterrasse") originates from the breathtaking depth view, which can be particularly challenging for those with a fear of heights.
Where is the Terrazza del Brivido located?
The platform is situated in Pieve di Tremosine, high above Lake Garda, and can be reached via a narrow serpentine road. The village sits on a plateau that drops steeply toward the lake, offering stunning views of Lake Garda and Monte Baldo. Other impressive viewpoints include Piazza Arturo Cozzaglio and the terrace of Hotel Panorama.

The drive from Lake Garda up to Pieve di Tremosine via the Strada della Forra is an adventure in itself but not for inexperienced drivers. The narrow, winding road branches off from the Gardesana slightly north of Campione del Garda and passes through the narrow Brasa Gorge. Scenes from the James Bond film Quantum of Solace were filmed here during a high-speed chase. Parking is available nearby but fills up quickly during peak season.
