Mountain bike tour on the Punta Veleno
Veleno means poison in English. And the drive to Punta Veleno is pure poison for the legs. The almost 20 km long slope has it all and can only be mastered by conditioned cyclists with impressive stamina.
Cyclists will be rewarded after the gruelling uphill battle with one of the best runs at Lake Garda. It's worth the effort!
The challenging bike tour begins in Assenza near Brenzone. From here on the road up to Castello, where the toxic stage begins, over countless hairpin bends, it travels continuously up to the Prada Alta. Altogether there are 1,100 vertical meters.
There you should definitely recover from your hard work before swinging back on the bike for the downhill because this is not without exaggeration and, requires serious concentration and skills.
For the drive back, take the road 1 km back to Riser drive. Path no. 34 on the left begins here. You can see the start of the track with stairs, so you need to prepare yourself for a spectacular single trail to Marniga and Assenza. A full-suspension bike is undoubtedly an advantage here.
