Mille Miglia - a highlight event at Lake Garda

Every year in May, the legendary car race Mille Miglia takes place: the route from Brescia to Rome and back again is 1,000 miles or 1,600 kilometres. The circuit varies a little every year, but as always, this year it leads a bit along Lake Garda.

Traditionally, one week before the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, the rematch of the long-distance road race, Mille Miglia will take place from the 17 to 21 June 2025. While the original Mille Miglia, which ran from 1927 to 1957, was all about speed and daring, it's now all about consistency and reliability. Since 1977, only classic and vintage cars are allowed to participate, and only those that have already raced at the historic Mille Miglia between 1927 and 1957.

The pretty old-timers follow the Freccia Rossa, the red arrow and symbol of the race, and return to Brescia after four days. The Mille Miglia, in its present form, is a journey of discovery through beautiful landscapes and picturesque locations, which inspires not only over 400 international participants but also thousands of spectators along the route. A highlight event for motorsport fans and lovers of vintage cars, for connoisseurs and adventurers!

The first stage of the Oldtimer Rally will take go from Brescia to Desenzano del Garda and Sirmione. From there you continue on the Parco Sigurtà in Valeggio sul Mincio to Mantua, Ferrara and Comacchio to the next leg, destination Cervia-Milano Marittima.
